My five favorite fics The ones I think you should read of the ones I have finished (finished being a key word because Torch Song, while my baby, is not on here 'cause its not fully published). aka the ones I would love to, but never see, on rec lists. These aren't really in any particular order and all are Winterhawk.
1) You rearrange me till I'm sane
Aka the roadtrip fic aka my other baby. What would've happened if the Winter Soldier had been on a mission and lost his handlers during the Battle of New York? He'd notice and save a grief and guilt stricken Clint Barton from killing himself after the battle is what. The two then embark on a roadtrip to try and figure out who they are and how to live. Bucky gets to find things out for himself and not have to just react to things under pressure. Clint gets to heal after what Loki did to him and made him do. I love this fic.
2) Five dates Bucky didn't realize he was on and the one he planned himself
Who doesn’t love a good five plus one? Not all the dates are the best writing wise (some I like a lot more than others) but they’re unique and fun and poor Bucky is so clueless and Clint so earnest I don’t think it matters much. Did this one for a Winterhawk Bang but never got any art. :(
3) Indelible
That tattoo parlor au. Bucky goes to Clint to get his arm tattooed - he ends up with a beautiful sleeve and a boyfriend to boot. I’m most proud of this one for the amount of people who tell me I got a lot of the details right. I also wrote this while dealing with my father’s illness and death so it will always be a safe and happy place for me. Someday I hope to get a sequel out. Someday.
4) Puck Luck
aka Hallmark Hockey. Bucky breaks his arm and in steps Clint, a friend of Natasha's, to be his PA/Caretaker for roughly two months. Hijinks ensue! Not as much hockey as I might have liked, though it was hard with Bucky being injured. It's relatively angst free and a fun read.
5) Hey baby I'm talking to you
Probably the tamest hooker fic you'll ever find but I really like this one. Bucky ends up in Clint's neighborhood after a bad session and they end up chatting - just that, chatting. The relationship goes from there and Bucky ends up developing feelings (like you do). But how do you tell a guy you don't want to pay to have sex with him when that's what he does for a living?
